Susan Del Sordi-Staats

Dr Susan Del Sordi-Staats is the founder of Essential Family Health & Wellness Center. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and has been practicing medicine since 2007.
Born and raised in Morristown New Jersey, Dr. Del Sordi moved to Arizona in 1986. She graduated from ASU with a degree in Psychology/Biology and then obtained her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Scottsdale Healthcare and now serves as an Adjunct Faculty for ATSU-KCOM & SOMA.
After being introduced to the concept of root cause medicine, Dr. Del Sordi began with her own health journey and was inspired to apply these philosophies with her patients. She received her certification in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2017.
Dr. Del Sordi is married with two children. In her free time, you will usually find her with her family, keeping busy with basketball games & dance competitions. She loves cooking, especially applying nutritional science to what she prepares for her family. She also enjoys gardening, reading, bargain shopping, Pilates and her Peloton. As a business owner, doctor and mom, Dr. Del Sordi can relate to the challenges of trying to find balance in everyday life.
Dr. Del Sordi is passionate about Osteopathy and applies its holistic tenants to her daily practice. She believes in partnering with her patients to empower them to find balance in their lives and restore their health.
